Musée d'Orsay

L'afrique by Eugène Delaplanche (1836-1891)

Imagine my surprise and disappointment when after standing in line for 30 minutes, purchasing my ticket and gaining entrance into Le Musée d'Orsay, I discovered that this former train station turned museum no longer permits the taking of photographs or videos! Armistice Day: Remembrance Day

On November 11th, the dead of two world wars are remembered. This morning, the President and others laid wreaths and made speeches at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier under the Arc de Triomphe. This photo was taken on the Champs Elysées after the ceremony. Notice the American flag in the background.
