I took this photo two years ago today on January 5, 2010. I'm really glad I did as the taking of photographs is no longer permitted in le Musée d'Orsay. Shown here is Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux's the 'Four Parts of the World'.

I like that play with color--and maybe this one more than the one you offer for comparison. The red strikes me as more apt for one than several, but I'm not sure I can explain why. Also, I usually favor color, but your tendency toward black and white seems right. (Found you at East of West L.A. I like your work and plan to come back).
